The performance venues of the Kupferberg Center for the Arts are all accessible spaces but a detailed knowledge of the logistics of each venue and their surrounding areas is essential to experiencing full and unfettered access.

While the official address of the Colden Auditorium is 153-49 Reeves Avenue (at 61st Road), this point of entry is at the base of a long staircase.

For patrons in wheelchairs, those who use walkers and those who may have difficulty climbing stairs, there are two options for access.

  • The first is a gate on Kissena Boulevard located in front of the Goldstein Theater (just before 64th Road). Enter through this gate and turn right.  The ramp walkway will take you to first the Goldstein Theater and then The Colden Auditorium.  The LeFrak Concert Hall may also be accessed via this path (passed Colden), but a closer option is available.
  • A gate located on Reeves Avenue in front of the Aaron Copeland School of Music is the closest accessible entry point to the LeFrak Concert Hall (there is a sign just inside the gate that indicates both LeFrak and the Kupferberg Center for the Arts). Once through the gate, enter the ACSM building and proceed to the elevator (straight ahead and to the left). Take the elevator to the 2nd To go to the entrance of the LeFrak Concert Hall, turn right off of the elevator then left down a hallway of classrooms and practice rooms.  At the end of the hallway turn left and proceed to the lobby of LeFrak. You may also use the Reeves Avenue gate to get to both the Colden Auditorium and the Goldstein Theatre.  For both venues, take the elevator to the 2nd floor, turn right and then right again to exit the building.  Proceed left to access Colden Auditorium and Goldstein Theatre.
