HITS FOR KIDS
Co-presented with the Lawrence
Eisman Center for Preparatory Studies in Music at Queens
College.
This innovative new series—geared especially
for children ages six to twelve—features professional
musicians and talented young performers from the CPSM
program. Each performance is hosted by a member of the
CPSM faculty, who will engage the audience in a lively
Q & A. Skip LaPlante, musician and master instrument
builder, will be on hand before each performance to
instruct young audience members in the creation of their
very own hand-made instruments. So come early!

Your kids will be bouncing to the
beat when the CPSM Percussion Ensemble performs on many
instruments including the marimba, xylophone, and tympani.
It’s a vibrant afternoon of fun, featuring drumming
from around the world.
