The 2018 Fall Faculty Dance Concert: Dimensions
November 29 - December 2
The 2018 Fall Dance Concert
The annual Fall Faculty Dance Concert features world premiere choreographic works by the internationally renowned faculty members of the Dance Program at Queens College. The works are performed by the talented students of the Department of Drama, Theatre and Dance. This year’s program embraces diverse forms of dance including Hip-Hop, Modern and Tap, and showcases the work of Marshall Davis Jr., Gabriel ‘Kwikstep’ Dionisio, Richard Move, and Edisa Weeks. The concert is directed by Edisa Weeks, with lighting design by Jeff Greenberg.
As society’s dependence the internet increases, we are frequently navigating between the daily realities of the work place, home life, school, and the fictional realities of video games, fake news, binge watching, bitcoins, and more. The four works in Future of Memory are inspired by game structures, avatars and alternative or parallel worlds.
