Music Makers: Beto Jim’s Jazz Quartet

Alberto Jimenez’s proficiency in styles like Afro-Caribbean music, Mexican music, and jazz has located him as a leading emerging guitarist in the New York City and Mexican music scene. Native from Oaxaca City and a Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music alum, Alberto has appeared numerously in jazz festivals in the US and Mexico. He has recorded as a sideman in four productions exploring the jazz vernacular and music from throughout southern Mexico. Alberto will be joined by The Collective ensemble, who are defying imposed physical distance with technology to perform in this concert series. **Plus, join us after the concert for a livestream Q&A with the artists.
