Queens Rising is a multi-disciplinary arts festival, set to take place in 2022, that will highlight the cultural and creative diversity of Queens through unique performances, exhibitions, and commissions. Spearheaded by a coalition of major arts organizations in the borough, including KCA, this festival will serve as a beacon of light after the difficult challenges of a health and economic crisis, which prevented the public from experiencing the arts in person, and a period of social struggle for racial equity that has forced a deep reckoning across society.

In the summer of 2022, we will rise together by commemorating the immense variety of traditions and cultural expressions that make Queens one of the most diverse regions in the world, a borough whose resiliency and strength will overcome any present—or future—challenges.

The info session will consist of a short presentation by members of the Queens Rising Planning Committee, followed by a Q&A. Participants will also be invited to join programming, fundraising, marketing, and operations sub-committees, which will be critical to the festival’s success.
