E.L. Doctorow is the National Book Award-winning author of the novels The Book of Daniel, Ragtime, Billy Bathgate, World’s Fair, The March, Homer and Langley, and, most recently, Andrew’s Brain, which is forthcoming in January. The New York Times Book Review has said: “E.L. Doctorow is an astonishing novelist.” The New Yorker has said: “Doctorow [is] a writer of dazzling gifts and boundless, imaginative energy, who…has emerged as our great chronicler of American mythology.” Library Journal has said: “With an economy of means, with the seemingly effortless grace of a dancer bouncing lightly on his toes, Doctorow takes a simple story and creates a universe.” The St. Louis Post-Dispatch has said: “E.L. Doctorow is a national treasure.”
In addition to reading from his work, Mr. Doctorow will be interviewed by Leonard Lopate.
