For more than thirty years, our Revelations arts education program has showcased world-renowned music, dance, and theatre performances for students in grades PreK-12. This acclaimed arts exposure program encourages young students to explore and develop their innate creative potential and make connections between live performances and classroom studies. Each Revelations field trip program includes free Student and Teacher Guides, which are linked to school curriculum and New York City and State Learning Standards.

All Revelations tickets are $9.00 in advance, and accompanying teachers, nurses, and paraprofessionals are FREE. Our Colden Auditorium is back! Starting May 2024, our Revelations Schooltime Performances will take place at our 2,000-seat Colden Auditorium. To ensure your attendance, we strongly recommend making your reservations promptly. Submission of the reservation is not confirmation. Trips will only be confirmed when payment is received in full.

Cinco De Mayo Celebration

Doktor Kaboom! Look Out! Science is Coming!

Doktor Kaboom is an over-the-top German physicist with a passion for science that knows no bounds. Sporting chrome goggles, an orange lab coat, motorcycle boots, and wicked cool hair, Doktor Kaboom travels the world taking audiences on an educational tour of the modern scientific method, using humor and comedy, while demonstrating spectacular applications of the physical sciences. Nothing says science like KABOOM!  Recommended grades: 4-8

Power of the Pit

Broadway is known around the world as the heartbeat of New York City. What people don’t know is that the heartbeat of Broadway comes from underneath the stage, in the pit orchestra! In Power of the Pit, we will deconstruct how music is made in Musical Theatre. This performance feature Anthony Lee Medina from ‘Hamilton’ and Ciara Alyse Harris from ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ and an all-star band of Broadway musicians that have played in over 50 Broadway shows including Hamilton, Wicked, and Dear Evan Hansen. Recommended grades: 4-12

Lunar New Year: Celebrating the Year of the Dragon

Join us for a spellbinding schooltime performance as we embrace the spirit of the Year of the Dragon through the power and beauty of dance. The world renowned Nai-Ni Chen Dance Company is known for fusing American modern dance with the grace, splendor and discipline of Asian art. Come meet majestic dragons, acrobatic lions, elegant peacocks, twirling ribbons, bamboo instruments, and much more – all included in a thrilling program that’s designed to enthrall students and honor the festive. Recommended grades: 2-8

The Mayhem Poets

With words, humor, and extreme hip-hop energy, the Mayhem Poets raise poetry to a playful and powerful new level. Having been dubbed “an amazing ride” by the New York Times, this mind-boggling performance has been described as “The Simpsons meets Malcolm X at a Notorious B.I.G. concert.” These theatre-trained, comedically gifted, lyrical virtuosos seamlessly blend raw elements of poetry with hip-hop, theater, and comedy to reveal truths on contemporary issues. Recommended grades: 6-12

Cubop to Hip-Hop!

Featuring multi-instrumentalist Steven Salcedo’s Latin-Soul Group, a high energy collective that includes multiple horns, percussionists, and vocalists, this engaging performance for students will explore the history of how Afro Latin music was born out of the New York City melting pot of the 1950s and 1960s, leading to the birth of funk and hip-hop through the lens of Latin music icons such as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, and more. Recommended grades: 2-8

The String Queens

Praised for their authentic, soulful, and orchestral sound, The String Queens (TSQ) is a dynamic trio whose stimulating musical experiences inspire diverse audiences to love, hope, feel, and imagine. Based in Washington, D.C., TSQ’s dedication and service in the field of music education is a cornerstone of their work. With a repertoire spanning the baroque era to the Jazz Age to today’s Billboard Hot 100 chart, TSQ performs versatile programs that take students on a rousing musical journey through time and a multitude of musical genres. Recommended grades: 3-12
