Miki Yamanaka is a vibrant young pianist and composer based in NYC who graduated from QC’s Aaron Copland School of Music in 2016. For this performance, Miki features original compositions with the piano taking center stage in three different configurations: a solo instrument, a trio, and a jazz quartet. Miki composed all the music during the pandemic, affirming her firm belief that “music is the way to bring people together; therefore, it is my honor to present this set for you!”

Music Makers is a KCA series that showcases alums of the Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College.
