QC MLK DAY CELEBRATION FEAT. TYREEK MCDOLE

Winner of the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, vocalist Tyreek McDole leads a powerful performance inspired by his debut album Open Up Your Senses. Blending original music with freedom songs and spirituals, he creates a space for reflection, unity, and collective healing rooted in the legacy of Black American Music.
This concert is part of KCA’s annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration, honoring Dr. King’s legacy and his historic 1965 speech at Queens College’s Colden Auditorium.
The program begins with a recognition ceremony and keynote address at 3 PM by honoree Carol Jenkins, followed by the Tyreek McDole Quintet concert at 4 PM. The recognition event is co-sponsored by the Office of Queens Borough President Donovan Richards, Jr.
