Information for Schooltime Performance Groups

2025-26 Schooltime Performances take place at Colden Auditorium, Queens’ largest indoor performance venue. Colden Auditorium is located on the Queens College Campus at the corner of the Long Island Expressway and Kissena Blvd. in Flushing.

Use 153-49 Reeves Avenue, Flushing, NY 11367 for GPS directions. Please inform your bus driver of this specific location for drop-off. (See map below)

  • Please plan to arrive at least 20-30 minutes before the curtain time.
  • The lobby/theatre doors open approximately 30 minutes before the curtain time.
  • Please note that there are no indoor facilities to accommodate groups arriving prior to the theatre doors opening; all guests must wait outdoors prior to seating.
  • Bus Drivers should follow the instructions of Queens College Public Safety officers for pick-up locations. There is no bus parking allowed on campus.
  • Please note that we are NOT able to accommodate any additional guests who have not been accounted for in your paid reservation.
  • Upon arrival, teachers will receive an envelope with flyers about other upcoming KCA events; kindly distribute these to students upon returning to the classroom.

HOUSE RULES

  • NO FOOD, DRINKS, OR SNACKS OF ANY KIND are permitted in the theater or lobby; this includes bagged lunches and coolers.
  • For seating, please follow the instructions of the house staff at all times.
  • No running, shouting, or disruptive behavior at any time before, during, or after the show.
  • Please refrain from talking and whispering during the performance, and wait until after the show to discuss or comment about it.
  • The performance lasts approximately 50-60 minutes; restroom and drinking privileges during that time must be reserved for absolute emergencies only (and then, as always, children must be accompanied by an adult).
  • Teachers and chaperones, please take an active role in watching over the students in your care and assisting them in maintaining appropriate behavior.
  • No recording equipment of any kind is permitted inside the theater. 

SEATING

  • Please note that groups are seated on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Seating for multiple bus loads is only possible if the entire group arrives and lines up together. We thank you in advance for patiently awaiting your turn to enter the theatre.
  • Please make sure that your students fill every seat, not leaving any empties between them.

DISMISSAL

  • Please follow the instructions of the house staff at all times.
  • When exiting the theatre, groups must exit together. People with special needs can speak to an usher to arrange for alternate exit.
