In 2011-2012, Kupferberg Center offered its first Cultural After-School Adventures (CASA) residencies at three Queens public schools. Now, in our sixth year, we are proud to announce that we will be hosting our programs in thirteen (13) schools with the support of eight (8) New York City Council Members—Costa Constantinides, Daniel Dromm, Barry Grodenchik, Peter Koo, Karen Koslowitz, Rory Lancman, Eric Ulrich, and Paul Vallone. We are currently offering seven unique arts programs that provide exciting and rewarding learning experiences for elementary and junior high schoolchildren:  Word Play, Bringing the Beat, World Dance, On Stage, Animals at the Museum, Portrait Party! and Storytelling Through Dance.  Perhaps the best testimonial we can offer is the fact that we were invited back to ten (10) schools –some that we have served for 2, 3, 4, and 5 years consecutively. This year, there are three new schools that have been added to the roster, and we are excited to work with them.

The Cultural After-School Adventures (CASA) program is supported, in part, by public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.
