Since their debut in 2010, Coreyah has been at the forefront of a musical revolution, fusing contemporary ethnic and popular sounds while preserving the essence of traditional Korean instruments. Their innovative approach knows no bounds, drawing inspiration from diverse genres like Anglo-American rock, Balkan gypsy, and captivating rhythms from South America and Africa.

The name Coreyah is a Sino-Korean homonym that refers to the inheritance of the past and also in Korean means “whale”—the group’s totem animal and good luck charm.
