Hailing from South Korea, Coreyah is a mesmerizing psychedelic Korean folk music group. With six talented members, they skillfully blend Korean traditional instruments, captivating vocals, guitar, and percussion to create their unique sound. Since their debut in 2010, Coreyah has been at the forefront of a musical revolution, fusing contemporary ethnic and popular sounds while preserving the essence of traditional Korean instruments. Their innovative approach knows no bounds, drawing inspiration from diverse genres like Anglo-American rock, Balkan gypsy, and captivating rhythms from South America and Africa.

The name Coreyah is a Sino-Korean homonym that refers to the inheritance of the past and also in Korean means “whale”—the group’s totem animal and good luck charm.
