SU-CASA is a community arts engagement program that places arts partners in residence at senior centers across the five boroughs of New York City. This City Council initiative supports arts engagement programs in New York City’s senior centers provided by cultural organizations and individual artists. Residencies provide a minimum of 60 hours of arts engagement programming for seniors. Each residency also includes a public program component for the surrounding community. As a grant recipient of the SU-CASA program in FY 2016, Kupferberg Center for the Arts at Queens College presented the Identity Quilt Project to seniors at Young Israel of Queens Valley (YIQV) in Flushing, NY. Their work was presented in an exhibition on the Queens College campus.
