Saxophonist, composer, and producer Jan Kus is a forward-looking artist who cultivates a genuinely cosmopolitan style in his music. A Slovenian native and Queens College Aaron Copland School of Music alumnus, Jan is also a founding member of the cross-cultural ensemble, the Slavo Rican Assembly. Its main focus centers on the exploration of similarities and differences between South Slavic, Puerto Rican and Caribbean musics, merging them into a cohesive and original sound.
